Inflation reversal on agenda, common man at heart of budget: Rana Ihsan

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Coordinator to the Prime Minister, Rana Ihsan Afzal Khan Friday reaffirmed the government’s commitment to reducing inflation, vowing that the upcoming budget will bring relief to the public without adding further financial burden, while also terming the ongoing US-Iran negotiations a positive step that could open new avenues for regional stability and economic confidence.

During an exclusive conversation with a local media outlet, Rana Ihsan Afzal Khan said the government has taken all necessary austerity measures wisely to deal with the ongoing economic challenges, which are not only affecting Pakistan but the entire world.

He said that present government is fully aware of public difficulties and is working on a clear strategy to stabilize the situation.

Ihsan Afzal Khan assured that no further burden will be placed on the public in the upcoming budget or in the coming months, adding that efforts are underway to bring stability and ensure that economic conditions gradually improve, leading to relief for the common man.

Responding to a query, he emphasized the need to boost exports and strengthen the NFC framework, adding that cooperation between all political parties and provinces is essential for sustainable economic progress.

He also highlighted Pakistan’s constructive role regarding the US-Iran negotiations, saying that dialogue is the only way forward for regional peace and economic stability.
