Inquiry committee formed to probe alleged scandal at public Hospital

LAYYAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Usman Tahir has constituted an inquiry committee to investigate an alleged scandal reported at Nawaz Sharif Thal Hospital in Layyah.

According to official sources, the committee comprises Dr Khadim Hussain, Dr Arshad Bappi, and Dr Muhammad Ahsan, who have been tasked with completing the probe within a stipulated timeframe.

Medical Superintendent Dr Naeem has been accused of allocating hospital rooms to accommodate certain individuals for inappropriate activities.

Meanwhile, ward boy Muhammad Sadiq, in his statement, claimed that he acted on the directions of the Medical Superintendent and denied any personal involvement in the alleged wrongdoing.

Following the emergence of the allegations, the Deputy Commissioner took notice and ordered a formal inquiry into the matter to ascertain facts and fix responsibility.

Officials said further action would be taken in light of the findings of the inquiry committee.
