Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Thursday met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office and listened to their concerns regarding promotions, seniority, welfare and administrative matters

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Thursday met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office and listened to their concerns regarding promotions, seniority, welfare and administrative matters.

According to police spokesperson, on the transfer request of the son of martyred Constable Muhammad Iqbal, Additional IG Punjab Constabulary was directed to take the matter under consideration. On the request for legal action by retired Head Constable Mukhtar Hussain, the Additional IG IAB was directed to take necessary action. On the pension-related request of the widow of late Constable Muhammad Sharif, the CCPO Lahore was directed to provide relief.

On the request for a subsistence allowance by the widow of late Driver Constable Ghulam Murtaza, instructions were issued to the Additional IG Welfare and Finance. On the request for recruitment of the daughter of the widow of late Constable Kaleem Asghar, the Additional IG Punjab was directed to consider the matter. On the transfer request of the son of retired Constable Sarfraz Hussain, Additional IG PHP was directed to provide relief.

IGP Abdul Kareem said that the welfare of the police force was his top priority and that timely resolution of issues faced by employees and their families would be ensured.
