WAH CANTT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jun, 2026) Saddar Wah Police dismantled a five-member inter-provincial car theft gang and recovered three stolen vehicles valued at over Rs4.5 million during a targeted operation conducted on Sunday.
According to police officials, the suspects were allegedly involved in stealing vehicles from different areas and transporting them to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where the stolen cars were sold through illegal channels. The operation resulted in the arrest of all five gang members and the recovery of three vehicles reportedly linked to the gang’s criminal activities.
Police sources revealed that the arrested individuals possess a history of criminal involvement and are wanted in several cases registered in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The cases include allegations of robbery, vehicle theft, attempted murder, narcotics-related offences and illegal possession of weapons. The arrests were made following intelligence-based operations and sustained efforts led by Station House Officer Asif Khan to track organized vehicle theft networks operating across provincial borders.
Speaking on the occasion, SP Pothohar Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan said the suspects would be presented before the court with strong evidence to ensure effective prosecution. Reaffirming the police department’s resolve to curb organized crime, he said strict action would continue against criminal elements involved in vehicle theft and other offences that endanger public safety and property.
