Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Pays Tribute to Workers on International Labour Day

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has paid rich tribute to workers across Pakistan and around the world on the occasion of International Labour Day.

In his special message, the minister said that the sweat and hard work of labourers lay the foundation for every nation’s progress. “The role of workers in the development of the country is unforgettable. It is their tireless efforts that write the stories of growth and prosperity,” Mohsin Naqvi stated.

He added that this day is an acknowledgment of the dignity of those hands that silently strengthen the economy. “A labourer is not just an individual, but the main pillar of a nation’s development. Without their contribution, the dream of prosperity remains incomplete.

Referring to the teachings of Islam, the interior minister said that islam regards hard work as a form of worship and places great respect on those who earn through labour.

He noted that the Constitution of Pakistan also guarantees the rights of workers, ensuring fair wages and a better working environment.

“Progress of the labour force is, in fact, the progress of Pakistan,” he emphasized.

Mohsin Naqvi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding workers’ rights and addressing their challenges. “This day renews our pledge to raise our voice for labourers, end their hardships, and recognize that their hard work is the true strength of nations and the guarantee of a brighter future,” he added.
