Investigation ordered in civil judge’s death at DG Khan Hospital

DG KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2026) The administration of Teaching Hospital Dera Ghazi Khan has constituted

an inquiry committee to probe the death of Civil Judge Sajida Mehboob.

According to a district administration spokesperson, the Medical Superintendent

formed the committee to examine the patient’s complete medical record,

treatment provided, and procedures followed during dialysis. The inquiry

will also determine whether any negligence or lapse occurred.

The committee, headed by Prof.

Dr. M. Khalid Malik and comprising senior doctors,

has been directed to submit its report within 12 hours to enable further legal and

administrative action.

The spokesperson said the inquiry aims to ensure transparency and fix responsibility

to prevent such incidents in the future.

Judge Sajida Mehboob, who was suffering from kidney disease, was brought to the

hospital late at night after her condition deteriorated. She reportedly died as a dialysis

machine was not immediately available.
