TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is set to begin a multi-nation visit on Friday, covering Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow, according to Iranian media reports.

The visit aims to review ongoing regional developments and assess the latest situation amid escalating tensions and conflict in the region.

During his stay in Islamabad, Araghchi is expected to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while subsequent visits to Muscat and Moscow will focus on bilateral consultations and discussions with political leadership.

Iranian media said the foreign minister will exchange views on regional security, diplomatic efforts, and the evolving situation involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.

Earlier, government sources in Pakistan indicated that Araghchi is expected to arrive in Islamabad with a small delegation, where key discussions with Pakistan’s mediation team could pave the way for a possible second round of talks between the United States and Iran.

Sources also noted that a U.S. logistical and security team is already present in Islamabad ahead of the anticipated diplomatic engagements, reflecting intensifying efforts to facilitate dialogue and de-escalation in the region.
