IUB Bahawalnagar seminar highlights Pakistan’s successful foreign policy

BAHAWALNAGAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) A seminar on Pakistan’s successful foreign policy and international politics was held at the Bahawalnagar Campus of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, where speakers highlighted Pakistan’s growing role in global diplomacy and peace building efforts. The seminar was organized under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran and chaired by Campus Director Dr. Rafaqat Ali. It was moderated by Additional Director Students Affairs Dr. Rehan Bin Tariq, along with Deputy Director Students Societies Muhammad Omar and members of various student societies.

Speakers paid tribute to the country’s civil and military leadership for their diplomatic efforts, particularly in facilitating dialogue between the United States and Iran through the Islamabad talks, which they described as a significant contribution toward regional and global peace.

Guest speaker Waqas Bin Tariq presented a comprehensive overview of Pakistan’s foreign policy, outlining its key features, achievements, and guiding principles in the current global context. He also encouraged students and youth to play a constructive role by understanding international affairs and contributing positively to the country’s image on the global stage. The seminar witnessed active participation from faculty members, staff, and students, reflecting strong academic interest in contemporary international relations. The event concluded with prayers for the peace, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan.
