Kathia assumes charge as Commissioner Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Bahawalpur Division, Irfan Ali Kathia, has assumed charge of his office and started performing official duties.

The Commissioner held an introductory meeting with the heads of various government departments across the division and district officers, in which strategies were discussed to improve affairs and promote public facilities.

On this occasion, the Commissioner stated that in accordance with government directives, all measures to facilitate the public will be ensured, and all available resources will be utilized to advance public service programs.

He further said that ongoing development projects across the division will be completed on time and in accordance with high standards.

He directed officers to further improve their performance and emphasized that no negligence in the execution of official duties will be tolerated. He added that every government department must take serious steps to ensure the timely completion and quality of development projects so that the public can be provided with the best possible facilities.
