KDA seals illegal constructions in Battakundi, Chhapran; warns of strict legal action

KAGHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) The Building Control Unit of the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA), acting on the directives of Director General Rehmat Ali, carried out an operation against illegal constructions in Battakundi and Chhapran, sealing five under-construction buildings found to be in violation of regulations.

According to officials, the buildings were being constructed without obtaining the required No Objection Certificates (NOCs).

During the inspection, authorities sealed the structures and confiscated construction materials on site.

The KDA has issued a strict warning to the property owners, stating that any attempt to de-seal the buildings will result in legal proceedings, with cases being referred to court. Officials further cautioned that violators could face a fine of up to Rs. 1.5 million along with imprisonment of up to three years.

The authority reiterated its commitment to enforcing building regulations and ensuring lawful development in the region.
