Kidnapped men recovered in six hours, main suspect held

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2026) Police safely recovered kidnapped two youths within six hours of the incident and arrested the main suspect

in Kot Addu, police sources said.

Acting on special directives of DPO Kot Addu Mansoor Qamar, SHO City Police Station Shahid Fareed Khakh led a swift operation to trace kidnapping case.

According to police, a group of 9 to 10 persons abducted two youngsters, Habib-ur-Rehman and Abu Bakar, near the Judicial Complex Kot Addu when they had arrived to record statements under Section 164 in a case registered at Mahmood Kot Police Station.

On receiving information, police teams conducted raids at multiple locations, and monitored suspects’ movements closely.

As a result of coordinated efforts, the abductee were recovered safely within six hours, while the main culprit was arrested. Further investigation is underway, and more arrests are expected.

Police sources said the motive behind the kidnapping appears to be a dispute related to a love marriage. Initial findings suggest the suspects had planned the crime and attempted to flee after the incident.

DPO Mansoor Qamar appreciated the performance of SHO Shahid Fareed and his team, reiterating that protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the top priority. He added that indiscriminate action against criminals would continue.

Police have registered a case and launched further raids to arrest remaining suspects.
