'Kidnapper' held, girl rescued safely

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Chak Jhumra police arrested an alleged kidnapper and rescued the kidnapped girl safely from his custody.

According to the police spokesperson here Thursday, the accused Rashid Iqbal abducted a 20-year-old girl Alishba for contracting marriage with her and hid her at a place in Azad Kashmir.

On the report of parents of the abducted girl, a police team, headed by SHO Chak Jhumra Rizwan Shaukat, traced the accused by investigating on modern scientific lines and arrested the accused from Azad Kashmir.

A legal action has been initiated against the accused.
