QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Kalat Munir Ahmed on Thursday said that construction work on N-25 of 800-kilometer dual carriageway being built which is cost Rs 450 billion under the supervision of the National Highway Authority (NHA) is in full swing.
He said that the project would connect Karachi, Quetta and Chaman via Kalat, making it one of the most important transport corridors in the province.
He said this while chairing a review meeting regarding the payment of compensation to those left behind in the survey for the dualisation of National Highway N-25, including lands, tube wells, trees.
The meeting reviewed the progress of the project and the applications of the affected landowners and took important decisions.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Shahnawaz Baloch, Tehsildar Kalat, Haji Abdul Ghaffar Lehri, SDO Public Health, Hidayatullah Baloch, Range Forest Officer Habib Lehri, Zafarullah, NHA, Law Officer, Kalat and Patwaris of Khaliqabad.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Durrani said that every effort is being made to resolve the legitimate issues of the NHA and the Revenue Department in this regard saying that in this regard, NHA and the Revenue Department should conduct a joint survey and submit a comprehensive report.
He said that no injustice would be allowed to be done to anyone in this regard. The public circles of Kalat have expressed the expectation that the 450 billion road project, after the special attention of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the Chief Secretary Balochistan, the Quetta-Karachi Road Project N-25 will support both economic activities and regional connectivity in Balochistan, which would prove to be the foundation of social and economic development on a sustainable basis.
