KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) The district administration in Kohat on Tuesday launched a series of inspections across the city on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz, targeting public health standards, consumer protection, and examination transparency.

Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC) Syed Mukhtiar Shah inspected several hotels along the highway and Pindi Road, where authorities found violations including the use of substandard meat and poor hygiene conditions. While the overall situation was reported as satisfactory, pump owners were instructed to maintain accurate measurements, ensure quality fuel supply, and uphold cleanliness standards.

Meanwhile, AAC Muhammad Hamza Mutahar conducted raids at the Old Bus Stand and Charsi Gate, seizing illegal foreign cigarettes and penalizing violators. He also led a crackdown on the sale of unauthorized pocket guides ahead of 11th and 12th grade examinations, warning shopkeepers of strict legal action and urging public cooperation to promote a fair examination system.
