KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) The district administration in Kohat on Thursday carried out inspections of healthcare facilities and local markets on Wednesday to ensure improved public services, hygiene standards and price control measures, officials said.
Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz, Additional Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Hamza Mutahar visited Basic Health Units in Mohammad Zai, Garhi Maaz Khan and Jungle Khel to review healthcare delivery and compliance with official standards. During the inspections, he examined staff attendance, pharmacy records, availability of medicines, cleanliness and maintenance of official documentation, while directing health staff to ensure timely treatment facilities for patients.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>In a separate operation, the AAC inspected grocery stores, restaurants, naan shops and bakeries in Jungle Khel to assess hygiene conditions, implementation of official price lists, weighing standards, product quality and expiry dates. Several shopkeepers were fined and warned over violations, including poor sanitation and non-compliance with pricing regulations.
Officials said vendors had been directed to strictly follow public health and sanitation guidelines, warning that legal action would be taken against repeat violations. The district administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring safe food, fair pricing and better civic services for residents across the district.
