KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz, the district administration carried out surprise inspections of markets to ensure price control and hygiene standards across the city.
In this regard on Tuesday, Additional Assistant Commissioner Gambat Syed Mukhtiar Shah visited Pindi Road Bazaar, where LPG shops, fruit and vegetable stalls, chicken outlets, and bakeries were thoroughly checked. During the inspection, several shopkeepers were fined for violating official price lists, while others were issued strict warnings.
The overall cleanliness of the market was also reviewed, and traders were instructed to maintain proper hygiene.
In a separate operation, AAC Revenue Ibrahim Khan inspected KDA Market, where kabab and LPG shops were examined for compliance with government-notified rates. On-the-spot penalties were imposed on violators found overcharging customers.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing official price controls and hygiene regulations, warning that strict legal action would continue against those who fail to comply.
