KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Kohat, Muhammad Nawaz, Additional Assistant Commissioner Darra Muhammad Arif on Monday, conducted a detailed inspection of Darra Bazaar, checking kebab shops, meat outlets, petrol pumps, retail stores, and bakeries to ensure compliance with regulations.

During the visit, shopkeepers were directed to maintain cleanliness, use accurate weighing scales, and strictly follow officially notified price lists. Authorities also checked for the sale of illegal cigarettes and expired items, with legal action initiated against violators to enforce market discipline.

Meanwhile, a road accident in Tehsil Lachi left two individuals seriously injured when a motorcar met with an accident on Bypass Road. Rescue teams from Rescue 1122 responded promptly, providing first aid before shifting the injured to a nearby hospital.

The injured were identified as Yousaf, 33, son of Noor Iqbal, and Irfanullah, 30, son of Sikandar, both residents of Waziristan. Authorities said further investigation into the incident is underway.
