Kohat DC chairs key meetings under CM initiative on service delivery

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Kohat chaired an important online meeting under the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Initiative on District Service Delivery, focusing on improving public service provision across the district.

The meeting reviewed ongoing welfare and service delivery projects in detail. The DC directed all departments to ensure immediate, transparent, and sustainable solutions to public issues so that citizens could access basic facilities at their doorstep.

He emphasized that the Chief Minister’s Initiative reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening governance and enhancing service delivery at the district level. Departments were instructed to adopt a coordinated strategy and prioritize the timely completion of welfare projects, while progress reports on all development schemes must be submitted regularly.

He made it clear that negligence or delay in addressing public complaints would not be tolerated.

Separately, the DC chaired another online meeting regarding the prevention of illegal placer gold mining. The Distric Police Officer, officials of the district administration, Forest Department, and other concerned authorities participated. Heads of departments briefed the meeting on challenges related to illega mining. The Deputy Commissioner directed strict legal action against those involved in unlawful mining activities.
