KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) A comprehensive consultative meeting on Monday was held in Kohat between the Pakistan Army and religious scholars from various schools of thought to discuss the prevailing national situation, reinforce public-institution relations, and promote peace, tolerance, and social cohesion. The session brought together District Police Officer Kohat, senior military official Brigadier Khurram Sabih, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz, and a large gathering of ulema representing diverse sects.

The Primary objective of the meeting was to strengthen trust between state institutions and the public while formulating a collaborative strategy to address the intellectual and moral challenges facing the youth.

Speaking at the event, DPO Kohat highlighted that a small number of miscreants were attempting to mislead young people against the state by spreading extremist narratives. He emphasized that safeguarding Pakistan’s unity and adhering to its Islamic ideology is a shared responsibility of all citizens.
