Kohat police arrest murder case fugitive in targeted operation

Kohat police on Tuesday arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in a murder case during a targeted operation, officials said

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Kohat police on Tuesday arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in a murder case during a targeted operation, officials said.

According to police, the accused Nauman Khan, son of Ejaz Khan and resident of Togh Payan, was wanted in FIR No. 148 dated February 21, 2022, registered under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code at MRS Police Station.

Acting on credible information, police apprehended the fugitive in a planned operation carried out in accordance with legal procedures.

The operation was led by Station House Officer (SHO) Abdul Rauf Bangash of Saddar Police Station Kohat. After arrest, the suspect was shifted to the concerned police station for further investigation and legal action.

Police officials said the force remains committed to continuing action against proclaimed offenders and criminals to ensure public safety and maintain law and order in the district.
