KP cabinet approves 100% adda fee relief at c-class bus stands

The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has approved a complete waiver of Adda Fee at all C-Class bus stands across the province for a period of one month, according to official documents issued by the Local Council Board

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Apr, 2026) The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has approved a complete waiver of Adda Fee at all C-Class bus stands across the province for a period of one month, according to official documents issued by the Local Council board.

The decision was taken during the 50th Cabinet meeting, as part of a cost reduction measure aimed at providing relief to transporters and commuters.

Under the directive, the provincial government will bear 100 percent of the Adda Fee during the specified period. The estimated financial impact of the relief measure is Rs. 140 million, which will be compensated to provincial government transport facilities and relevant Addas based on actual revenue losses.

Authorities have further instructed divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners to ensure that the benefit of the relief is effectively passed on to the public in the form of reduced fares.

All Transport Departments, Deputy Commissioners, and relevant officials have been directed to implement the decision immediately and maintain accurate records of revenue losses. A comprehensive report will be submitted at the end of the month for timely compensation.

The move is part of the provincial government’s broader efforts to ease financial pressure on citizens and improve public service delivery.
