KP CM greets nation on Eid-ul-Adha; urges public to maintain cleanliness

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi has extended his greetings and best wishes to entire nation, especially people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

In his message issued here Wednesday, he said that Eid-ul-Adha is one of the greatest occasions in Islamic Calendar, which symbolizes faith, sacrifice, selflessness, love, unity and highest sentiments of humanity.

This blessed day commemorates the unparalleled obedience, loyalty and sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS) before Allah Almighty, which is a beacon of light for the Muslim Ummah throughout the world.

Following Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) not only strengthens our spiritual attachment to Allah Almighty but also makes us realize the rights and responsibilities of weaker and deserving sections of society.

He urged people to share joys of Eid with poor and helping them in times of need is the true message of this holy festival. He said that Eid-ul-Adha teaches us lesson of unity, brotherhood, tolerance, peace, harmony and mutual respect. A peaceful, prosperous and strong society can be formed only by promoting these values in our individual and collective lives.

He appealed to people to take special care of principles of cleanliness and hygiene during and after sacrifice. He urged citizens to fully cooperate with the relevant local bodies and sanitation workers to dispose of waste and animal remains at designated places.
