The Forest Department has been placed on high alert to prevent the possible smuggling and illegal transportation of timber, according to an official statement here.

Following ongoing strict operations against the timber mafia, authorities have decided to further strengthen the monitoring system.

All Divisional Forest Officers (DFOs), Sub-Divisional Forest Officers (SDFOs), and field staff were directed to remain at their duty stations during the Eid holidays.

The department has ordered strict surveillance on sensitive routes, check posts, and border crossings to ensure the protection of forest resources.

Forest Department officers and personnel will not be allowed to leave their assigned stations without prior permission, the statement added.

All field officers have been instructed to keep their mobile phones active and remain available around the clock.

The transportation, loading, and movement of timber during Eid al-Adha have been declared completely prohibited.

A spokesperson for the Climate Change Department warned that strict legal action would be taken without discrimination against anyone violating forest laws.

Special teams of the Forest Department will remain active to thwart every attempt at timber smuggling.

“Forests are a national asset, and no compromise will be made on their protection,” the department stated.

The crackdown against illegal timber trade and stockpiling has been intensified across the province.

Authorities reiterated that a zero-tolerance policy against the plundering of forest resources would continue to be enforced strictly.

All relevant officers have been instructed to ensure immediate response and emergency coordination during the Eid holidays.

Government measures for forest protection and environmental stability have been further tightened.

The department has also launched intelligence-based monitoring and surveillance to curb the illegal transportation of timber.

The Forest Department has decided to keep its entire field force fully mobilized during Eid al-Adha.

Enhanced monitoring and checking have been ordered at check posts throughout the province to safeguard forest resources.

Officials have been directed to take immediate action against any suspicious activity within forest areas during the holidays.

In a strong message to the timber mafia, the department spokesman said those involved in looting national forests would be dealt with “with an iron hand.”

He appealed to the public to immediately report illegal logging and timber smuggling activities.

Special emergency monitoring and field surveillance will remain in force during Eid al-Adha to ensure forest protection.

The provincial government has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting forest resources at all costs.

All Forest Department officers and personnel have been directed to ensure full compliance with the issued orders.
