PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) The Department of Cardiology at Kuwait Teaching Hospital observed World Hypertension Day by launching a free public screening camp and awareness initiative to combat rising cardiovascular disease in the community.
According to the hospital admin on Friday, the event, which featured a Continuing Medical education (CME)accredited seminar and an awareness walk, drew heavy participation from healthcare professionals, patients and the general public.
The hospital established free male and female clinics offering blood pressure checkups, specialist consultations and complimentary ECG And random Blood Sugar (RBS) testing.

The campaign was heavily attended by hospital faculty, Training Medical officers (TMOs), house officers and nursing and paramedic staff.
Hospital leadership commended the organizers and reaffirmed their long-term commitment to expanding preventive cardiology services across the region.
