Lahore traffic plan finalized for PSL final

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) The Lahore Traffic Police has completed comprehensive arrangements to ensure smooth traffic flow in the city on the occasion of the Pakistan Super League(PSL) final with a detailed parking plan issued for cricket fans,here on Sunday.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi said eight DSPs, 90 traffic inspectors and more than 500 wardens will perform duty under the supervision of divisional SPs.

He added that 11 forklifts have also been deployed to curb illegal parking.

According to officials,designated parking stands have been set up at multiple locations, including Government College Gulberg,CBD Parking, Sunfort Hotel and Liberty Parking, to facilitate spectators.

Separate routes have been allocated for fans arriving from different areas.

Visitors coming via Ferozepur Road will be directed to Government College Gulberg through Kalma Chowk, while those from Defence and Cantt will use Liberty Parking via Hussain Chowk. People travelling from Mughalpura and Garhi Shahu will also be able to access Liberty Parking through Main Boulevard Gulberg.

The CTO said no road will be closed permanently,adding that major arteries such as Mall Road,Jail Road and Canal Road will remain open. Traffic on Ferozepur Road and Main Boulevard Gulberg will also continue as usual.

He urged citizens to avoid illegal parking and use designated stands, adding that traffic updates will be provided through the Rasta App and Rasta FM 88.6.
