LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jun, 2026) The City Traffic Police has announced a strict enforcement drive against underage drivers, unlicensed motorists, and unsafe motorcycle practices, including three-person riding on motorcycles.
According to CTO Lahore Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi, the operation will be carried out with zero tolerance, especially during holidays when violations are more common.
Under the new enforcement measures, any driver under the age of 18 found operating a vehicle or motorcycle will face strict action. This includes issuance of a challan, impounding of the vehicle, and a written undertaking from parents to prevent future violations.
The CTO further stated that driving without a valid license will result in fines of Rs 5,000 for cars and Rs 2,000 for motorcycles.

Strict action will also be taken against individuals found riding motorcycles with three passengers, a practice deemed highly dangerous for road safety.
To facilitate citizens, special checkpoints will be set up near licensing centers to help unlicensed riders obtain driving licenses.
The CTO emphasized that underage driving and unlicensed driving will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and enforcement will continue to ensure public safety and reduce road accidents.
