LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday disposed of a petition seeking the recovery of an overseas Pakistani woman and her children after the woman appeared before the court and agreed to return with her husband.

Justice Muhammad Jawad Zafar heard the petition filed by Muhammad Waqas Noor, who had alleged that his wife and children had been abducted and sought court directions for their recovery.

During the hearing, police produced the woman, identified as Ammara, along with her children in compliance with earlier court orders.

During proceedings, Ammara stated before the court that she was willing to go with her husband. Following her statement, the court disposed of the petition and permitted her and the children to leave with him.

At the previous hearing held on April 8, the court had directed police authorities to ensure production of the woman and her children after being informed that Ammara, an overseas Pakistani holding a permanent Italian residence card, was staying at the Embassy of Italy in Islamabad along with her children. The woman had left of her own free will.
