WAH CANTT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) A local court on Thursday awarded life imprisonment to a man and handed down separate sentences to two others in connection with a deadly clash during a reconciliation meeting in 2023 that left one person dead and several injured.
According to the FIR registered under Sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code, the incident occurred in the Muneerabad area within the jurisdiction of Wah Saddar Police Station. The situation escalated into an armed confrontation when tensions flared during the meeting, leading to indiscriminate firing between rival groups. As a result, Waqas was killed by a bullet injury, while at least six others sustained injuries, including one critically.
Following the trial, the court convicted Bilal of murder and sentenced him to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs300,000. Another accused, Jibran, was awarded five years in prison and directed to pay Rs4.91 million as Diyat/Arsh for causing the loss of an eye. A third accused, Muhammad Azram, was fined Rs80,000 for causing injury.
The court, after completing legal proceedings, held all three accused accountable for their roles in the violent clash, bringing the case to a close.
