Literary groups of southern districts hold poetry events to mark Eid, Pakistan Day

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Mar, 2026) The literary groups and enthusiasts from Southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa districts hosted poetry events to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr and Pakistan Day.

Mohabbat Sada Adabi Tolana Choralaki here hosted an Eid Milan Mushaira at Government High school Kiri Shekhan to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr and Pakistan Day.

The event was presided over by Ashraq Khattak while renowned poet Israfeel Bandivan attended the event as chief guest.

Qari Ajraldin Darwish, Dr. Fayyaz, Ismail Khan and other local poets presented their poetry during the event wherein audience extended Eid greetings and prayed for peace and prosperity.

Abasin Adabi Tolana, Kohat also marked Pakistan Day with a special program at Government Primary School, Dhok Noor Alam. The event emphasized the significance of freedom and encouraged citizens to contribute to the nation’s development.

Poetry presentations by local and regional poets concluded with prayers for national unity and progress.

Meanwhile, in Karak, Tolu Adabi Bahir held an Eid Milan Mushaira at Higher Secondary School Shah Saleem, on the Eid. Poets from southern districts, including Bannu, Lakki, Darra Adam Khel and Kurram, took part. Notable literary figures including Professor Arif Khattak, Umar Khog and Noor-ul-Basar Basar highlighted the importance of Pashto literature and pledged support for youth literary initiatives including nationwide poetry competitions.

The events were hailed as successful efforts to promote cultural heritage, literary talent and national pride across the region.
