Loralai Police apprehend gunman involved in drug rehabilitation center firing

LORALAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) In a swift and successful operation, the Loralai City Police have arrested a suspect involved in a late-night firing incident at a local drug rehabilitation center.

The arrest was made within 12 hours of the attack, resulting in the recovery of the weapon and vehicle used in the crime.

The police team, led by Sub-Inspector Muhammad Sharif Musakhail, Station House Officer (SHO) of the Shaheed Muhammad Ashraf Tareen City Police Station, conducted the raid following a lead on the suspect’s whereabouts.

The apprehended individual has been identified as Anwar Khan, son of Sher Khan, a resident of Model Town, Loralai. During the arrest, police force recovered the motorcycle used to flee the scene and the pistol used

in the firing incident.

The incident occurred last night when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on the Drug Rehabilitation Center Loralai, causing panic in the area. Following the attack, a case was registered at the Shaheed Muhammad Ashraf Tareen City Police Station to initiate manhunt.

In addition to the Primary case regarding the attack on the rehabilitation center, a separate case has been registered against the accused for the possession of unlicensed weaponry.

The Loralai Police added that the investigation was ongoing to determine the motive behind the attack and to identify if any accomplices were involved. Muhammad Sharif Musakhail has reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining law and order and protecting public welfare institutions.
