Man arrested, booked in FIR for trying to sexual assault

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jul, 2026) The Hyderabad police have arrested a suspect for attempting to rape a 6 years old child and booked him in an FIR as well.

The police spokesman informed that the incident of the alleged rape attempt happened in the Hali Road area on Sunday.

He added that the suspect Hashir Arain was arrested on complaint of the child's parents.

The police referred the child to Liaquat University Hospital for medical checkup.

The incident's FIR was registered on the complaint of Tahir Ali Shaikh, father, under sections 511 and 376 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
