Man held for aerial firing

Wahdat Colony Police took timely action on a Punjab Police Integrated Command, Control and Communication Center (PPIC3) call and arrested an accused involved in aerial firing in the Al-Hamad Colony area of Wahdat Colony on Tuesday

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) Wahdat Colony Police took timely action on a Punjab Police Integrated Command, Control and Communication Center (PPIC3) call and arrested an accused involved in aerial firing in the Al-Hamad Colony area of Wahdat Colony on Tuesday.

According to police sources, the accused, identified as Hammad, resorted to aerial firing, as a result of which bullets struck the wall and window of a flat. The firing created panic and fear among residents of the area.

Acting promptly, police reached the spot and apprehended the accused besides recovering illegal pistol along with two bullets from his possession.

A case has been registered against the accused, while further investigation has been initiated.

SP Iqbal Town Sidra Khan appreciated the performance of SHO Wahdat Colony and his team for their swift response and effective action. She reiterated that strict implementation of a zero-tolerance policy against aerial firing is being ensured.
