Man held for sexually assaulting minor girl

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2026) Police have arrested a suspect for allegedly assaulting a four-year-old girl

in a rural area of Kot Addu, officials confirmed on Sunday.

According to police, the incident occurred in the suburban locality of Kaheri

Moza Raan near Qasba Gujrat. The victim’s father, a laborer identified as Ejaz,

told police that he was away for work when his daughter went to a nearby shop.

The suspect, identified as Suleman, allegedly lured the child into a house and

assaulted her.

The crime came to light when two passersby, Hasnain and Fayyaz, heard the

child crying and intervened, prompting the suspect to flee the scene.

On receiving complaint, SHO Khurram Abbas Ghallu, along with a police team

and lady officers, reached the site and shifted the victim to the Rural Health

Center for a medical examination. The accused was later apprehended, and

a case has been registered against him under Section 376 of the Pakistan

Penal Code.

Police said further legal action would proceed in light of the medical report.

Authorities have vowed to ensure strict punishment for the accused in accordance

with the law.
