Man seriously injured in Kohat firing incident; probe underway

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) A 32-year-old man was critically injured after unidentified assailants opened fire in the Jungle Khail Malang Abad area of Kohat on Friday, officials said.

According to local sources, the victim, identified as Sheraz Khan, sustained multiple gunshot wounds during the attack.

He was promptly shifted to a nearby hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment.

Law enforcement authorities reached the scene soon after the incident, cordoning off the area and collecting initial evidence.

Police have launched an investigation to trace the attackers, while the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
