Mansha Ullah Butt Fulfills Key Promise to Sialkot Workers

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resource, Muhammad Mansha Ullah Butt, has fulfilled another significant promise made to the industrialists and workers of Sialkot by securing the approval and creation of a new post of Director Labour Welfare in Sialkot through the upgradation of the existing Deputy Director (DD) Labour Welfare position.

Following this development, industrialists and workers in Sialkot will no longer need to travel to Gujranwala for matters related to labour welfare, as all relevant services and facilities will now be available locally.

The provincial minister stated that the Punjab Government, under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is taking practical measures to ensure workers’ welfare, timely resolution of their issues, and facilitation of the industrial sector.

He added that the establishment of a separate Director Labour Welfare post in Sialkot is an important milestone for both the industrial and labour communities, which will improve the implementation of labour laws, provision of welfare facilities, and administrative efficiency.

After the creation of the new post, internationally experienced Naveed Sarwar Qureshi has been appointed as the first Director Labour Welfare Sialkot, while Muhammad Tayyab Warak, who had been serving in Sialkot for the past five years, has been promoted to the rank of Director and transferred to Gujranwala.

Industrial, commercial, social, and labour circles in Sialkot have welcomed the initiative, expressing gratitude to Provincial Minister Muhammad Mansha Ullah Butt and describing it as a worker-friendly and industry-friendly step.
