Manshaullah Butt reviews ongoing development projects in city

Butt on Sunday reviewed the progress of various ongoing development projects in the

city.

During the visit, the Minister received briefings from local officials of the Municipal

Corporation and Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (WASA) and inspected the

ongoing construction activities. Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Chaudhry Faisal

Ikram and Khawaja Sultan Tipu were also present on this occasion.

Expressing satisfaction over the quality of work, the minister directed the departments

concerned to further accelerate the pace of construction to ensure completion of the

projects within the stipulated timeframe. He emphasized that no compromise would be

tolerated on the quality or quantity of development work and instructed that all projects

must be completed strictly in accordance with the approved plans and estimates.

Muhammad Manshaullah Butt said transparency and high standards in public welfare

projects remain the top priority of the government so that the benefits of these initiatives

could directly reach the people. He also instructed all relevant departments to ensure

effective coordination and close cooperation in order to avoid any obstacles or delays.

During the visit, officials assured the minister of their full cooperation for the timely

and quality completion of the projects.

Provincial Minister Muhammad Manshaullah Butt said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz

Sharif had allocated a mega sewerage project worth Rs17 billion for the city, which would

significantly improve municipal services and provide a permanent solution to the longstanding

issue of urban flooding.

He further said that a separate project for the improvement and beautification of Iqbal Manzil

and adjoining markets was also underway at an estimated cost of Rs 300 million.
