Mateen Plaza sealed on Commissioners of orders

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) Mateen Plaza has been sealed on Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi's orders for not implementing fire safety measures.

According to a press release issued by Commissioner’s Office, earlier a meeting chaired by the Commissioner Karachi reviewed the safety audit survey of commercial and key government/private buildings and decided to seal commercial buildings not complying fire safety rules.

Commissioner ordered the deputy commissioners to warn the building owners and associations to follow the fire safety rules and if repeated warning they don’t follow the rules should be sealed.
