Mayor starts rehab of Liaquat Colony cricket ground

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2026) The Mayor of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HMC) Kashif Ali Shoro has started the works of rehabilitating Liaquat Colony cricket ground.

The Mayor's spokesman informed here on Saturday that that restoration had been initiated with the purpose of providing sports facilities to the area's residents.

According to him, the ground had remained under neglect from a long time being located in the constituency of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan.However, he said, the mayor while taking notice of the public's complaints about the poor condition of the ground, directed the concerned officers and the local government representatives to kick-start the rehabilitation.According to him, the mayor had tasked the chairman of the concerned Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) and the Union Committee (UC) to supervise the works.
