MC clears Capital Road

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) The Municipal Corporation Sialkot carried out an anti-encroachment operation on Capital Road under the supervision of Chief Officer Muhammad Zubair Wattoo, removing illegal structures and improving traffic flow in the area.

During the operation, enforcement teams demolished 40 temporary and eight permanent encroachments, besides removing five makeshift sheds. The authorities also issued 20 warning notices to violators and imposed fines amounting to Rs30,000.

According to the municipal administration, illegal encroachments had been causing disruption to traffic and inconvenience to citizens.

Following the operation, a noticeable improvement in vehicular movement was observed on Capital Road, which was welcomed by the public.

The Chief Officer said that such actions would continue to ensure the city remains free of encroachments. He urged traders and residents to cooperate with the administration in maintaining a clean, organized and accessible urban environment.
