Mengal reviews progress on Neela Gumbad parking project

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) Punjab Secretary Housing,Noorul Amin Mengal on Sunday visited the Neela Gumbad underground parking project and reviewed the pace of ongoing construction work.

During the visit,DG LDA Tahir Farooq and Chief Engineer TIPA Iqrar Hussain gave a detailed briefing on the project’s progress.

Officials said that around 80% of the grey structure and 60% of the overall work has been completed, while the piling stage has also been finalized.

The secretary directed authorities to ensure strict security arrangements at the site, stressing that no negligence regarding the safety of workers would be tolerated.

He said the project,upon completion, would help resolve long-standing parking issues in the area while restoring the site’s historical heritage to its original condition.
