Mianchannu lifts inter-Tahsil Kabaddi championship trophy

KHANEWAL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) The Chief Minister Punjab Inter-Tehsil Kabaddi Championship 2026 concluded at the Sports stadium Khanewal Tuesday where Mianchannu team emerged winner defeating Khanewal to lift the trophy.

Teams from all four tehsils of the district participated with great enthusiasm.

Member National Assembly Muhammad Khan Daha and Divisional Sports Officer Multan Atta-ur-Rehman Khan attended the event as chief guests. The tournament witnessed impressive performances from players, while a large number of spectators turned up to support their teams.

The final match, played between the teams of Khanewal and Mianchannu was a demonstration of exceptional skill and determination from players of both sides. After a thrilling encounter, Mianchannu emerged victorious, securing first position, while the Khanewal team finished as runners-up.

Muhammad Khan Daha, Atta-ur-Rehman, and district sports officer Muhammad Hafeez distributed trophies and cash prizes among the winners and runner-up teams.

Daha praised the District Sports Department Khanewal for organizing the sports contest in line with the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

Among those present included district sports officer Vehari Asim Bhatti, local press club office bearer Qulzam Bashir Ahmed, besides officials from various sports associations including Table Tennis President Haji Ambar Bashir Ahmed, and others, Football Association President Muhammad Jabbar, Martial Arts President Aziz Sumra, and Tehsil sports officers Majid Gujjar and Aamir Ramzan.
