Minister Zeeshan reviews ongoing projects of Suthra Punjab Authority

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) Punjab Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafique chaired a meeting to review the administrative affairs and ongoing projects of the Suthra Punjab Authority, and the performance of the committees established at the divisional level for the transfer of assets to the district agencies.

Minister Zeeshan while praising the animation film prepared for the Suthra Punjab awareness campaign, said that attracting children towards cleanliness through "Suthra Hero" is an effective step in this. He directed that this awareness film series be widely disseminated on social media.

He said that without the cooperation of the citizens, the cleanliness targets cannot be achieved, while the activities of the agencies established at the district level are showing positive results.

The Minister for Local Government also directed the Deputy Commissioners and District MDs to make monitoring more effective.

Zeeshan Rafique said that Suthra Punjab is an important and priority program of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, on which the trust of the people is a great honor. Teamwork will have to be further strengthened to meet the public expectations.

The meeting also indicated that progress on the Waste to Value Project will be ensured in the next phase, while instructions were given to complete the cleanliness arrangements in time in view of Eid-ul-Adha. The Minister said that additional resources will also be provided to give better results this time compared to previous years.
