Ministry lodges formal complaint with BBC Urdu over report on AJK

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jun, 2026) The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has lodged a strong official protest and formal complaint with BBC urdu over the publication of fake news regarding Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

According to a statement shared by the Ministry on X, the report relied on unverified and uncorroborated allegations while disregarding official facts and on-record statements.

The Ministry said that this was not the first instance of such reporting, adding that the repeated publication of unverified claims had become a trend.

It emphasized that corrective measures must be taken.
