Minority communities delegation meets Deputy Mayor Karachi

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jul, 2026) Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad Wednesday met a delegation representing various minority communities from across Sindh.

The delegation included Basharat Masih, Ashok Sharma, Sunil Shatrogan Advocate, Powan (National Commission for Human Rights), and others.

During the meeting, the delegation held a detailed discussion on the issues faced by minority communities and possible measures for their resolution.

They highlighted the need for effective implementation of policies addressing minority issues, provision of reserved quotas in educational institutions, and concerns related to the Right to Information (RTI).

Various proposals aimed at the welfare of minority communities and addressing the challenges they face were also presented.

Salman Murad stated that ensuring equal rights and equal opportunities for development for all citizens, without any discrimination, remains one of the key priorities of the city's local government leadership.
