The decision was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Chaudhry Sajid Aslam to review election preparedness, security arrangements, inter-departmental coordination and other administrative measures ahead of the July 27 polls. Officials from relevant departments briefed the meeting on the progress of preparations and were directed to nominate focal persons to ensure round-the-clock coordination and prompt action in case of emergencies.

Addressing the meeting, the deputy commissioner instructed all departments to complete election-related arrangements well before polling day, emphasizing responsibility, transparency and professionalism.

He stressed that contingency plans should be finalized in advance and said the peaceful conduct of the elections was a shared responsibility of the district administration, police and other government departments.

Chaudhry Sajid Aslam said voters would be provided with a safe and peaceful environment on polling day, with all available resources mobilized to facilitate the electoral process. He also directed the education Department to extend full support in election arrangements and urged citizens to exercise their democratic right peacefully on July 27, reaffirming the administration's commitment to ensuring free, transparent and well-organized elections.
