FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jun, 2026) Chief Minister’s Adviser Zeeshan Malik said that the newly established modern library at historic Bagh-i-Jinnah would provide students, researchers and citizens with a vibrant center for learning and help strengthen the culture of reading, research and intellectual growth in the city.
He expressed these views during his inspection visit to the library, established in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz to promote knowledge-based, educational and research activities across the province.
Accompanied by Divisional Commissioner Madam Musarrat Jabeen and Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Akhtar Sukhera, the CM Adviser conducted a detailed inspection of the facility and reviewed its modern infrastructure, spacious reading halls, comfortable seating arrangements, lighting system and other facilities provided for visitors.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (retired) Nadeem Nasir, Assistant Commissioner Adil Umar and others were also present.
The officials briefed the adviser that the library housed a wide collection of books on literature, history, science, education, research and other important subjects.
They said that the books had been arranged systematically on shelves to provide students, researchers and general readers with an organized and conducive environment for study.
The library had been equipped with modern reading facilities to meet the academic and intellectual needs of the younger generation and encourage them to engage in constructive activities, they added.

He termed the facility a valuable gift for citizens, particularly students, and said that modern libraries could play a key role in steering youth towards positive pursuits.
He said that Punjab government under dynamic leadership of Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz was taking practical steps to expand educational and intellectual opportunities across the province.
Divisional Commissioner Madam Musarrat Jabeen said that promoting reading was essential for the progress of any society, adding that the establishment of a modern library at a historic and public location such as Bagh-i-Jinnah was a welcome initiative.
She directed the concerned departments to ensure the addition of more books and modern facilities so that a larger number of citizens could benefit from the library.
RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera described the project as an important platform for promoting positive and constructive engagement among the younger generation.
He said that reading cultivated awareness, intellectual maturity, and responsible citizenship.
