Month-long training program on livestock nutrition concludes at SAU

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) A month-long training program on livestock nutrition and feed management concluded at Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam.

The program was organized by the department of animal nutrition Sindh Agriculture University in collaboration with the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed human resource research and development board and livestock and fisheries department Sindh.

Addressing the concluding ceremony, Vice Chancellor Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal said that enhancing the quality of livestock feed can significantly increase milk production, university would continue to organize training program to introduce livestock owners and youth associated with the sector to modern technologies for practical benefits.

Speaking on the occasion, Director General of livestock Dr. Hizbullah Bhutto said that in areas like Thar and Kachho as well as other parts of Sindh, the local economy largely depends on livestock. He added that such training programs were highly beneficial in improving livestock productivity and management.

DG livestock extension and research Dr. Mubarak Ali Jatoi said that through mutual cooperation among the university, training institutions and the livestock department, better support could be provided to livestock farmers. He added that youth and farmers were being trained in modern technologies to strengthen the sector.

Project Director of the Board Dr. Majeed Hakeem Dhamrah said that continuing the mission of Benazir Bhutto to empower youth through skill development, the board had so far trained over 500,000 young people in various fields. In this one-month program, experts from the university and the livestock department provided specialized training to 20 male and female students.

At the end of the ceremony, the vice chancellor Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal distributed certificates among participants. A large number of faculty members and students attended the event.
