Mother taken into custody after infant found dead in Hazro

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) Hazro police have taken a woman into custody on Tuesday after her four-month-old child was found dead under suspicious circumstances.

In the jurisdiction of Rango Police Station in Hazro, a tragic incident came to light when a man, identified as Mehtab, brought the body of his four-month-old son, Ayub, to the police station and alleged that the child had been harmed by his mother.

According to police, the father’s statement led to the immediate detention of the child’s mother for further investigation. Authorities noted visible injury marks on the infant’s head, raising concerns about the circumstances surrounding the death.

Police have shifted the body for medical examination to determine the exact cause of death. Officials stated that the investigation is underway and further action will be taken in light of the medical report and evidence collected.
