Mothers foundation of family, strength of society: CM

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2026) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif paid glowing tribute to mothers

around the world, describing them as a symbol of love, compassion, sacrifice

and unwavering devotion.

In her message on Mother’s Day, the CM said Mother’s Day was dedicated to

all courageous and resilient mothers, particularly those who sent their sons to

defend the homeland. She paid rich tribute to the mothers of martyrs and ghazis,

saying that the nation held their sacrifices and patience in the highest regard.

CM Maryam Nawaz also acknowledged the struggles of working mothers and

those who endure hardships to provide a better life for their children. She said

a mother remained a source of peace, comfort and strength in every phase of life.

The CM said Allah Almighty had bestowed an exalted status upon mothers by

likening His mercy to a mother’s love. She said mothers were the foundation

of families and the true strength of a civilized society, adding that Mother’s Day

served as a reminder to recognize their extraordinary love and lifelong sacrifices.

Remembering her late mother Kulsoom Nawaz, Maryam Nawaz Sharif said she

especially felt her absence on Mother’s Day and added that her mother’s love,

prayers and guidance continued to inspire her in both her personal and public life.

The chief minister said those who dedicated themselves to serving their mothers

attained success in this world and the hereafter. She also prayed for the health,

happiness and well-being of mothers across the world.
