ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) Inspector Yasar Arafat, who was martyred while on duty on the Hazara Motorway, was laid to rest with full official honours in his ancestral hometown of Do Bather, Abbottabad.
Inspector Arafat lost his life in a tragic accident while performing his duties on the Hazara Motorway. A large number of mourners attended the funeral prayers, including family members of the deceased, senior officials of the Motorway Police, and residents of the local community. The solemn ceremony reflected the deep respect and admiration held for the martyred officer.
The Motorway Police spokesperson paid rich tribute to the departed soul, stating that Inspector Yasar Arafat was a brave, fearless, and dedicated officer who served the Motorway Police with unwavering commitment for 24 years.
He leaves behind a widow and four children who will continue to receive support from the department. The spokesperson further stated that the Motorway Police shares the grief of the martyred inspector's family and assured that they will never be left alone.
"The sacrifice of Inspector Yasar Arafat will always be remembered," the spokesperson added.
